Die Fine Art 2010 hat anlässlich des meist verfolgten sportlichen Events führende zeitgenössische Künstler aufgerufen, Werke für die 2010 Fine Art Collection einzureichen, die sich thematisch mit der 2010 FIFA Weltmeisterschaft SüdafrikaTM auseinandersetzen.
160 Künstler aus den 32 teilnehmenden Ländern der 2010 FIFA Weltmeisterschaft Südafrika™, darunter namhafte Zeitgenossen wie Peter Phillips, Esther Mahlangu, Tatsuya Matsushita, Hella De Santarossa und Giancarlo Impiglia, kreieren mit ihren Werken eine beeindruckende internationale Kunstsammlung, inspiriert durch die Rückkehr der Welt nach Afrika.
Von den 160 Werken wird eine limitierte Auflage von je 210 signierten Prints hergestellt, die über die nationalen Partner Galerien in den teilnehmenden Ländern zu Verkauf angeboten werden.
Das erste Mal in der 80jährigen Geschichte der FIFA Weltmeisterschaft™ wird ein Kunstprojekt dieser Größenordnung als ein offiziell lizenziertes Produkt der FIFA anerkannt.
Das Fine Art 2010 Projekt ist eines der größten Kollektivarbeiten in der Geschichte der Internationalen Kunstszene.

Rebel Exhibition at Rock am Ring 2010
Modart curated the artists and the exhibition took part from thursday to sunday, during the festival. Luckily some of our favourite artists joined that event and produced exclusive artworks for the 25th anniversary of the biggest musiv festival in germany. Artist: Will Barras, Marc C. 2010 International Fine Art
The first-ever FIFA World Cup™ to be hosted on African soil will focus the world’s attention on the continent with greater intensity than at any other time in modern history. This concentration of positive energy and Afro-enthusiasm provides the ideal artistic context for leading contemporary artists from around the world to create works inspired by the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ – the result is the 2010 International Fine Art Collection.
160 leading contemporary artists have been invited from each of the 32 countries that have qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ to participate in this project. Each artist has interpreted the same theme, drawing inspiration from Africa, the FIFA World Cup™, and their country’s own national pride, in the style of their choice.
From each original image a series of a further 210 (to link to the year – 2010) archival pigment ink prints on cotton paper is being produced. Each of these prints will then be numbered and labelled as Official Licensed Products of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, signed in original by the artist, and sold. The collection is extremely exclusive, with only five originals and a total of 1050 prints available from each of the 32 participating countries. 32 nations. 160 artists. 160 original works. 33,600 prints. One truly global sporting event.
In cooperation with our international gallery partners, the complete 2010 International Fine Art collection is being launched through multiple global exhibitions in leading art cities around the world. 2010 Fine Art will also showcase the artwork across South Africa throughout the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ events. Through these exciting artistic events, fine art and the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ will capture the attention and imagination of the world.

Inked Souls 2009 | ART Whino
WHAT
Art Whino teams up with Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) to host one night in our inked souls event. Inked souls is an exhibition featuring customized sneakers and fine art by local, national and international leaders in the Pop Surrealism/Urban Contemporary art movement. This event will have multiple dimensions in art, music and performances.
